marimekko aalloilla iso mehu dress green red sand
The Aalloilla wrap dress is made of cotton in the Iso Mehu pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The dress has long, wide tying bands that are fixed at the waist. The voluminous sleeves have gathers at the shoulders and sleeve ends and wide double-buttoned cuffs. The dress has side seam pockets.
The starting point for the painterly Mehu (juice) print was an idea of fruits mixed together in a large bowl into a delicious smoothie. The spontaneously executed abstract pattern also features recollections of a summer drive through Europe, of verdant landscapes and art experiences had along the way.
