funkis Autumn table

Autumn is a wonderful time for those of us who love to entertain. The cooler weather
brings with it new-season produce and a renewed appetite for soups, warm salads,
slow-cooked meat and other rich, hearty fare.

In line with the move to a cool-weather menu, the trend for table settings is a mix of
organic tones, textures and materials. We love the chunky, handcrafted look of The
Fortynine Studio's Flip Flop ceramics, available in a range of shapes, sizes and
glazes. Pair them with pure linen, bronze or pewter accents and timber utensils,
such as our Oak Salt and Pepper Vessel.

Wood brings a rustic and natural warmth to the dinner table, particularly when used to
display food. Most of our funkis cheeseboards (made from timber sourced in Sweden)
come with a matching timber knife, and can double as bread boards and serving plates.

Seaside shades of green and blue are also on-trend and make the perfect background
to Autumn's colourful produce. To add a little drama to your table, introduce
a few
pieces from Marimekko's 'Saapaivakirja' collection. Featuring water colour-look
patterns
in blue, green and yellow, the settings are inspired by seasonal weather patterns.
This
beautiful tableware is guaranteed to start a conversation!
