Signed Textile 2004 is a tribute to one of Swedens greatest textile artists - Astrid Sampe. It was Astrid Sampe who originally started the project in 1954 when she contacted twelve well known designers within different art forms such as graphic art, architecture and advertising.

The project took two years to prepare. The goal was to create something totally new available to the general public. The idea behind the project was that people feel good when surrounded by beautiful things.

In the fifties Viola Gråsten, Astrid Sampe and Alvar Aalto were some of the greatest designers revolutionizing the textile artform.Once again  some of the classic and beloved fabricsare back  in production again .
